• How much does MB LIVE cost? MB LIVE is free and can be installed on any computer and requires no license, but can only connect to a MB STUDIO PRO version.
  • Should someone be present in the radio studio during the connections? No, MB LIVE and MB STUDIO PRO are designed to work without personnel on the radio studio and connect from anywhere in the world and go live
  • I'm not an expert and I can not configure the router correctly and therefore MB LIVE does not work, can you help me? Yes, if you have a credit of minutes of technical assistance or if you buy at least 1 hour of technical assistance, we can connect via Supremo and help you configure the router, but you must know login/password to access the router, otherwise we can not configure it
  • But I have to configure the router only in the radio studio or even in the place where I go with MB LIVE? Only on the radio studio, only on the MB STUDIO side, the router must be configured. From the side of the transmitter, that is the external station, it is not necessary to configure anything.
  • Can I connect even from slow connections? Yes, but in this case, to minimize the loss of frames try to adjust MBStudio \ Configuration \ Network \ MB Live \ Buffer on 5 seconds and in MB LIVE uses profiles at 20 kbits or 32 kbits
  • When I talk to the microphone, in the radio my voice is delayed, why? The internet line does not carry data instantly but at a very variable speed. If your line is stable and fast you can reduce the delay by setting MBStudio \ Configuration \ Network \ MB Live \ Buffer to 0 seconds.
  • When I use the prelisten to hear the audio coming back from the studio it often has small interruptions, why? The line of return from the studio is optimized for speed and not for stability, this means that to try to have the least delay possible, there is the risk that at every small slowdown of the internet line the audio may stop for a few moments . Keep in mind that only you are hearing this small interruption, not those who listen to the radio. Since the return is a simple service channel for internal use can be acceptable to have occasionally audio bounce caused by the internet.
  • The speaker in the studio wants to interview me live but when I talk to MB LIVE I hear my voice coming back and it's a huge annoyance, how to solve? From the studio they send you back the final mix of the radio which obviously also includes your voice. In the interviews you should only hear the voice of the speaker interviewing you, then on the radio they have to connect a secondary microphone (yes, the speaker will speak on 2 microphones simultaneously, the main professional and the secondary economic) that will be connected to an input of the computer and that input is selected in MBstudio / Configuration / Network / MB Live / Sound Card
  • With MB LIVE I make interventions to announce the songs between one and the other but when I intervene I hear my voice come back late and I can not speak, how to solve? Go to the MB LIVE configuration and in the Audio section activate the Eco Cancellation. In this way, when you go on air, the audio return is disabled and the annoying return of your voice is avoided.
  • How can I grant permission to someone to connect live only on a certain day or at a certain time? You can use the calendar to program MB STUDIO network password changes. Use Agenda - Internal Command - "Network - Protect connections with this password" and in the "Optional parameter" box write the new password that will come into force on the days and times you decide in the calendar section. You will also need to schedule a second password at a later time.

NOTE: you can use Supremo together with MB LIVE to better control the direction in the central studio, however know that the simultaneous use of Supremo will decrease the speed of the line and therefore if you want to have a low latency audio connection you should avoid the use of remote controls.

Do not schedule any automatic download in MB STUDIO during the times you are connected with MB LIVE, save internet bandwidth to ensure the stability of the streaming.

Beware of other PCs in your network, minimize data traffic in your network.

If you are directing from a place where they have other PCs on the network, make sure that they have not activated too many download / upload programs because in this case you will have serious disturbances on the streaming; preferably no computer should have running programs that receive or send data on the internet such as browsers, e-mails, downloaders, file sharing, and the same is of course true for the radio station's computers.
