To find out which internal LAN IP address to map the DMZ to, look at the network information displayed on the MB STUDIO main screen.

you need to map the DMZ to the LAN address (usually 192.168.1.xxx)


If for some reason you cannot open the DMZ service then alternatively map some incoming ports in your router: the MB STUDIO connection port must be open in TCP and at least one following TCP port (+1) must be open (or more ports to follow if you intend to receive more MB LIVE connections at the same time). Even if you only use one MB LIVE at a time, it is better to open 2 other TCP ports because in case of connection failure the port may remain unavailable for a few minutes. Let's take an example, if MB STUDIO waits for connections on port 9640, you need to open:
port 9640 TCP
port 9641 TCP (for receiving audio from an external MB LIVE station)
port 9642 TCP (another port for receiving audio from an external MB LIVE station)
etc etc. If many MB LIVE must be connected at the same time, then as many consecutive ports must be opened as the maximum MB LIVE that will connect.
For example, if up to 10MB LIVE could connect at the same time, then I will open 10 TCP ports from 9641 to 9650


After you have opened the DMZ service in the router, do a test to see if MB STUDIO can receive connections from the outside. Open the MB STUDIO configuration and click on NETWORK and then click on TEST:

If you get a "Can't connect!" message it means that your router is not correctly configured or your internet connection does not have a public ip.
