MB Recaster Not Updating Listener Count was created by DJboutit

I am having a problem with MB Recaster it iwill not show current listener count it always stays at 0. Is there a trick to get to Recaster to correctly show current listener count that I might not be doing??

what version are you using? The latest 4.4?

Version 3.9.3 I am running it on Windows XP.

If your stream server is shoutcast version 2 you must enter 2 password: the stream source password and the administrator passowrd. If administrator password is missing or wrong the stats could not be downloaded. See here: www.mbradio.it/en/help/322-webcast-how-to-activate-an-encoder

Also some free servers do not allow external encoders to download the stats so it could also be a server limit.

Server is v2 I only see a slot for user and a slot for password I do not see a slot for admin what is up??

I see you are right, unfortunately 3.9.3 is too old version and do not support 2 passwords system. Following versions do not support Windows XP so im sorry but i don't have a solution for you until you are on Windows XP

So why even have a listener count on the older versions if its always stays at 0??

The shoutcast v2 protocol has been changed after the release of MB RECASTER 3.9.3 so that old version do not get stats correctly form the newest shoutcast v2 servers but still work with older shoutcast v2 servers as well shoutcast v1 and icecast
