HARDWARE ADVICE (JULY 2025)

I'm often asked for advice on the ideal computer for using MB STUDIO and MB STUDIO VIDEO. It's not easy to answer because the hardware on sale is constantly changing, and new isn't necessarily better than old. My advice is to not buy a pre-built PC and not buy an Intel CPU. Instead, buy these components and have them assembled by a technician; it will cost you less and work better. Here are some components I currently use that work very well. This isn't the fastest computer you can get, but it's the best value for money.

MB STUDIO version 8.79.7 and MB REMOTE + MB LIVE1.79.7 available

Compared to the previous version:

• Video:  In Settings \ Video \ Clock, more clock graphics have been added, as well as the ability to display the clock as a replacement video for songs without a video. VIDEO - CLOCK
• Video:  The external application function can now display websites.
• Video: The "Crop videos of different aspect ratio from the video window" function can now be limited to songs only.
• Video:  Video launches are now better synchronized with audio.
• Video: gstreamer has been updated to version 1.26.3.
• Shortcuts: It is now possible to send shortcuts directly from one MB STUDIO to another or other MB STUDIOs. Configuration \ Network \ Send Shortcut
• Keyboard: You can now enable receiving shortcuts from another MB STUDIO Settings \ Keyboard
• MB LIVE: Added "Automatically turn on audio feedback when connecting" option in Setup / Connection.

Compared to the previous version:

• Video: the video control panel has been reorganized and offers a new "MB LIVE" button that allows you to turn on/off one or all MB LIVE cameras. Also added the "Switch" flag that turns off the others cameras when a camera is turned on.
• Cover: in configuration added the "Cover" page and added the option to enable or disable the extraction of the cover from the file tag
• Songs: fixed some bugs regarding the distance of songs in future playlists
• Fixed some general bugs
